Individual Responsibility

Wherever possible, one individual should have overall responsibility for security related matters for the building.  This will help co-ordinate the effort of putting aims and objectives into practise.

Individuals should:

Review practical aspects of security precautions and consultation with the Police Crime Prevention Officer as and when necessary;

Obtain the telephone number of the local Crime Prevention Officer and report any matters to them;

Maintaining contact with your insurance company who are always willing to provide advice on specific problems or hazards;

Ensuring the number of keys to the premises are kept to a minimum and undertaking checks to ensure that they are still with the person they were allocated to.
